DIY: Dog Deodorant

We want to cuddle them all day long. Have them on the furniture, in the bed, on our laps; basically an appendage. Thats how much we love them! But what if your fluffy appendage has an untoward odor? You wash him once a month (and no more so his skin doesn’t get dry and flaky) but those in between weeks can be a bit odiferous. It’s completely normal and natural but its not our favorite trait of theirs. Well here’s a harmless home remedy that’ll have them smelling like a rose. Make your own canine deodorant and enjoy all the extra hours of pleasant smelling snuggles.

Ingredients:

  • 450ml of water

  • Fresh mint leaves

  • Fresh rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

Preparation:

  • Boil the water.

  • Add the mint leaves, rosemary and vinegar.

  • Cover the pot and simmer for around 10 minutes.

  • Leave it to cool.

  • Pour the liquid into a clean spray bottle using a funnel.

The natural herbs in this spray help to reduce odor and the vinegar gives a lovely shine to your dog’s coat.
